Christianity is a more marketable form of Judaism. Once St. Paul and others decided to turn most of the OT into metaphors instead of literal stories, the stories transcended Jewish culture. Though I think I can say with almost entire certainty that the original writers did not intend for any of that to happen
Dude, did you not read the comment I was responding to?
You yourself just refuted WoGW wrote.
If you are going to just jump in to someone elses discussion at least be courteous enough to consider what we both are saying.

Oh I read it. Unless I was mistaken, he was wondering why anyone would still believe those ethnocentric Jewish fairy tales, and you responded with how widespread Christianity is. I was explaining why that is. They were ethnocentric Jewish fairly tales that Christianity decided to redefine and, like I said, I don't think the writers of the OT would have wanted people all around the world relating to these stories. They were tailored for the Middle Eastern Jewish culture.

In my godless, heathen home, I learned that when your momma calls for you, you go do what she says. Then you ask if she needs anything else. Then you can go back and be fawned over by your groupies.

Which I'm sure is only the case because of your gawd, and has nothing at all to do with religious violence, missionaries attaching life-saving aid to conversions, and a conscious effort to spread the religion through everything including violence and outright deception.
I read a story the other day about a group of missionaries that essentially forced the native group they were "ministering" to to go to church, with literal beating sticks to get them in there and prevent them from sleeping through it. Lotta people died because of that ministry, but you go on pretending that your religion spans the globe due to magic, and not shit like that.

The number one reason not to follow Christianity

I thought that Jesus had the power to heal. Why didn't he restore the fig tree to full fruitiness instead of killing it?

why would you be tortured for eternity?
I'm referencing the hell mythology. Did you need to ask?
