There's even a reference in your special book about teaching a man to fish, such that he knows how to feed himself. Which is interesting, since the subject of discussion is indoctrination vs education. Which has been the basis of every post I have made thus far. If that is my problem, what is yours?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
Gotta teach them while they're young, so you can scare the crap out of them with the idea of hell. Fuck lot of good that will do them if someone they love -- like a parent -- dies though. Imagine their fears of their parent being in hell. I know, because my granddaughter had to put up with that shit. After her mom died, some little prick told her that her mom was in hell. She was only 10 years old at the time.
If you show love, children will learn love. It's pretty fucking simple really.
OK, so...
If an atheist wants to convince others to think the way he does, then that is atheist doctrine. So it's not the doctrine of atheism, it's the doctrine of some atheists. Big difference. If you have to redefine words to make statements, you're backing the wrong horse. Feel free to send me a private message.

Then there is this, I think you abandoned this thread in record time. How old are you again? And you still haven't learned what the word 'exactly' means? Saying what something is NOT supposed to do isn't EXACTLY the same as saying what it IS supposed to do Ok enough of that (you asked for it), back on topic. It actually uses the word "teach" not 'indoctrinate'... Public schools teach about Jesus as an historical figure (at least mine did) is that indoctrination or education? The thing is you can't be indoctrinated into Christianity, there are no rules to follow, the only thing one is commanded to do is to repent and be baptized... that's it. After that you're free to do whatever you want to do. You are exactly an idiot. And the theory of evolution does not address abiogenesis which you might know if you knew anything about evolution... but you don't. It's not your fault. You are saddled with a primitive superstitious belief system which precludes rational thought. So go fuck yourself and your absurd 'god." Hey....why don't you pray for him to strike me dead? Let's see how good a prayer you are. Asshole. RE: Teach children about Jesus at a young age,

I would not object to actually teaching people about Jesus, even at an early age. As in reliable historical conclusions.
It wouldn't take very long. Feel free to send me a private message.

Being told since kindergarten that reading the Bible and praying and being good in church is more important than anything else in the world isn't indoctrination? Being told that getting to heaven by being a good xtian is the ONLY thing that is important in life isn't indoctrination? Being told that you can't play with the kids who aren't xtians because they're evil and they hate Jesus and they're going to burn in hell isn't indoctrination? If that isn't indoctrination, what is?
