Actually Sumerian Myth #51 is indicative of the early origins of this silly Abel-Cain tale....except in the Sumerian version it is the farmer who comes out on top (because the Sumerians were mainly farmers not herders) and, oh.  No one gets killed.  The quarreling brothers are reconciled which is certainly a more civilized ending that this much later jewish horseshit.

  What makes you think that Southern Baptist as a whole believe in the death penalty. That is personal decisions people make and not all Southern Baptist believe in the death penalty. DNA has it's limits when going back in time, so the evidence you so tout hasn't refuted Adam and Eve. personally I believe in the death penalty in certain cases, each case holds it's own merits.

Most Southern Baptists are in the southern United States, which is where most executions take place, and most Southern Baptists are Republicans, who support capital punishment.  As for DNA "having limits", what scientific paper can you cite in support of that?

The evolution (heh) of Satan is very interesting in itself. I've found fascinating videos about this. It starts with just "adversaries" God seems to send to screw with people.
