Free will

I lack sufficient data to determine the accuracy of my observations in this regard. I would be speculating as to what metric with which to measure said accuracy. If god exists, it's a sneaky lil bastard.

Forget god, entirely, lol.  It's not necessary.  Speculate away, it was an invitation after all.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

It may be thought that a person with no freewill may be compared to stone used to build a spectacular palace.

See, you're doing it again.  Regardless of whether or not I have free will..I'm significantly different from a stone. Still silly, -still- the same reason.

For all I know, I am god, and I'm dreaming the universe, and when I wake up, it'll all end. Or maybe I'm just a man, having a psychedelic adventure, and I've accidentally tapped into the code matrix of all that is, and I'm winging it - throwing curve balls at the universe. Maybe still, I'm just a program in a cosmic machine - no more than a string made of 1's and 0's, leading to predetermined output.

The possibilities are as limitless as my mind, which may be all that exists, and everything else is a mere projection of that mind.

Rhythm,

It was just a comparison of a person changing from no freewill to freewill and becoming extremely useful.

Awfully unwieldy as a preamble amiright, and I promise I take all of that for granted...still though, you must lean towards something or another...you must have some opinion as to the accuracy of that particular experience or a manner in which it could be actualized? Otherwise why would having the experience indicate anything at all, to you?

Rhythm,

Do you think your cells control you and that you have no control over them ?

I suspect that I am an animal being on a planet in a universe which has no currently discernible origin or maintenance feature, and that my consciousness bears its subsistence within my physical mind. I can do whatever I like (free will) but I am bound to certain rules (natural law) which may yield harsh consequences for making a free will choice which violates natural law, like walking off of a cliff or throwing myself into a fire.

@Kelley

I think that's a poorly formed question.  I -am- my cells.

@Spir

Isn't that an awfully vague description of free will..that's untrue on it's face? Can you do whatever you like...and in what way is that free, and from what?
