Game of Thrones Season 6 Discussion [SPOILERS WITHIN]
RE: Game of Thrones Season 6 Discussion [SPOILERS WITHIN]
I think everyone made that prediction. Jon Snow is really

, and therefore has too big a role to play to be dead. Especially as there is no Young Griff in the show.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Pretty fucking dumb. Ramsay is a fucking psychopath, and if you think he's going to risk being usurped by a baby, you're an idiot. That baby was at the very least going to have an "accident" and fall off a horse or something, but Roose had to go and taunt Ramsay and hold his station hostage.

I mean seriously, Ramsay had just suggested that they attack the Night's Watch. Wake up, Roose!

(It seems you'll need Melisandre for that, now.)

For some reason.... the characters seem a bit dumber on the show...
It's not that the things don't happen in the books... it's the motivation that leads the characters into those situations that's not very well translated into the TV medium.
Take the "recent" Cersei granting the Faith Militant more power than she should... why did she do that on the show? to rid herself of the Tyrels??!! Petty!
Why did she do that in the books? Debt! The crown was in a huge debt and taking out a few individuals "erased" some of that... She was trying to be like Tywin, ruling, taking care of business... but not as aware of consequences as her father.

Another... Jamie's return to King's Landing and subsequent fondling with Cersei in the sept, next to Joff's dead body... why did he do that in the show? meh.... rapey.
Why did he do that in the book? He'd just arrived and gotten back to his beloved sister whom he'd been craving for too long.... screw everything else! also, not rapey.

Tolkien wins! Tongue

It's a lot harder to do the sheer amount of exposition, inner thought, and backstory that GRRM does in the books in the TV medium.

Impossible, to make it palatable.

My favorite line, "you're a pirate, you even stole my 'RR'".

Um, why do we care about Roose again? Did we forget he drove a dagger right through our King's heart? Angry

Who said anything about caring about Boltons?

Well, you certainly made it sound like you cared about the fact that he died.
