I think the show is very much going in the direction of

I think Dany's going to come back to Mereen with the dragons loyal to Tyrion.

Yeah, but only a person with Targ blood can ride a dragon.

And yes, Tyrion freeing the dragons, I think, will culminate in three shadows over the Dothraki horde on their way to Vaes Dothrak.

Are you sure?

Isn't it more of a Valyrian descent thing? (maybe the Targs aren't the sole survivors?... though they like to think so)

No. Not sure. I am reading on the wiki that dragons will imprint on the people who hatch them. That doesn't sound familiar. The old Valyrians used to ride dragons, but the last dragons were only ridden by Targaryens. They were called Targaryen dragons, which I assumed to mean they can only be ridden/tamed by a person of Targaryen blood.

Quote:A man who looked like her deceased brother Viserys, but taller and with darker eyes, who says to a woman nursing a baby, “Aegon…What better name for a king…He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire.” When the man’s eyes meet Dany’s, he says either to her or the woman with the baby, “There must be one more…The dragon has three heads.” He then picks up a silver harp and begins to play.

I wouldn't be surprised if George (or the show writers) would turn that trope around and reveal someone else who could ride a dragon...
Or Bran... think of the power of Bran warging into Drogon and taking out whitewalkers!

That's who I thought the third 'rider' would be. The 'mummers dragon,' as it were.
