2. Why are people still paying for internet porn?
3. Dogs seem to get on with one another better than people do, on average. Why is that?

Science has caused your god to cease to be things more and more all the time. Remember when we thought lightning was a god showing it's power? Now we know it's just air friction. Or when we thought disease was because of demons and other bad spirits. instead of microbes? The more science discovers, the farther away, and weaker, the gods become.
That is why, in the story of the houses built on rocks or sand, i liken science to the rocks, and faith to the sand.
