Controversial views
What are people's most controversial views?

As in, what do you take to be true, or think about a particular thing, that most would not agree with, or that a lot of people would frown upon?

For example, here's mine: Nigel Farage is my favourite politician and I think he speaks the most sense out of all of them.

(I could probably get more controversial than the above but I don't want to offend anyone Wink )

That people should not force their taboos onto others. Seems hardly controversial but considering abortion issue in Poland I think it is very much so.
The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Free will is a complete illusion.
People should need a license to have pets. Or have kids.
There should be a penalty for having more than 2 kids (or at least a removal of benefits). Because overpopulation is the problem underlying many global issues.
I'm still torn on genetic modification of humans, but I don't think it is necessarily inherently evil.

Since when do you care about offending people?

I think my very most controversial opinion is that rapists are not monsters and do not deserve to be treated as such. I have lost friends over that opinion even after going to all the trouble to explain how I'm not excusing rape and I think rape is horrible and rapists are horrible for raping and deserve the legal consequences. Doesn't matter. Once you say a rapist isn't a monster, everyone loses their mind.

for me I guess it would be that I believe pedophiles are not the same as child-molesters, and shouldn't be treated as demonic outcasts rather be approached with kindness and offered proper help and +treatment so they don't become actual child-molesters.

Going by what I experienced on this board and in real life, judging every person on their own merit and not broadbrush them by looking at their religion or political views.

I don't think I have any.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.
