EU: Should the UK Leave or Stay?

This is where me and you disagree. Why don't you just move to an EU country? Britain can be prosperous again and you can have your EU.

Obama may be in America but he is entitled to express his opinions -- I really like Obama I think he's patently the best president the U.S of A have had in a long long while.

Bernie Sanders is excellent.

In the UK, Jeremy Corbyn is excellent.

Jeremy fucking Corbyn? He needs a bullet through his head.

And John McDonnell is an IRA sympathiser. Nothing but scum.

Because it's being in the EU that allows us Brits to escape Britain by moving to an EU country.

At the moment I can move anywhere in Europe without caring if I have a right to work there.

And yes the Queen is a cunt. I know that you didn't disagree with that, I just wanted to say it.

That's very true. But hey, us leaving might trigger a refugee crisis of our own. EU lovers rushing in the thousands to leave. The EU loves refugees, so you and Evie will have no problem getting resettled.

But back to being serious, it won't stop you from applying for citizenship in EU countries. It'll obviously just take a bit longer.

As for the Queen, I personally wouldn't call her a cunt but I don't worship her either.

Those points were aimed at Rob, abaris and whoever else thought the same, not really towards you. I just quoted you as you were the last person to post towards me.

I get that I often post in a way that comes across as quite emotional, but people tend to argue with me on that emotion and not the points I make. If that's my own fault then fair enough but I don't think it should be.

I said it to make a point, not because I actually believe yanks are any better than anyone else at hypocrisy. But as always people on here take what they want from my posts.

I put down my opinion and then neverminded it because ultimately it is perhaps a bit irrational and it's not based on much of an understanding of the current state of the yes or no campaign, because I hardly follow the news these days. It might be outdated for all I know but nonetheless it is my opinion, and one I have held for a long time, and the reason I'll probably be voting to stay. This is what I said:

"I see Europe as liberal and Britain as essentially judgemental... for instance the House of Lords still has a strong Christian element that likes to block progress. So I'll be voting to stay because I think we need Europe's influence on our laws. I don't want to lose the Human Rights Act for instance, and without Europe keeping us in check I think it would only get worse, probably bringing back hanging at some point, which I'm against."

So basically I see Europe as having a moderating influence on British politics.

So you think the EU as a political entity has the monopoly on human rights?

Fuck sake, this is just another example of people not knowing a damn thing about what they're talking about. You really think that we need the EU to safeguard human rights?

Even if I agreed, it's not gonna happen.

That's for certain. I'm under no illusions that what needs to happen is going to happen, otherwise we'd have put manners on the banks in 2008, not allowed them to continue on their merry and destructive way.
