General Election: Trump vs. Clinton (as of May 22)

Several recent polls have Trump ahead of Clinton. And her lead over him has disappeared. I didn't think it would disappear this quickly. But Trump, to his credit, keeps gaining ground. He is now ahead of Clinton by 0.2% on average. Cue the mental gymnastics Clinton lovers. This is yet another sign of how bad Clinton is.

Meanwhile, Sanders still leads Trump by double digits (also as of May 22). This is the one election where the super delegates need overturn the popular vote to give the Democratic Party the more electable nominee. Otherwise what's the point of them? People need realize the November election is not a closed Democratic primary...

EDIT: Just to add, a 2016 poll of 62,000 registered voters finds that Sanders is the most liked Senator in the country.

If Trump becomes President -  America will become a bigger joke than it already is. Literally everyone would struggle to take the US seriously with him in power.

And if Bernie wins there's probably no way that he will get his changes through congress. At least I think I'm right on that one. I'm no US political expert.

No, it's not Trump gaining followers but Clinton not having any. Even the ones being totally opposed to Trump contemplate staying at home. You can observe that here, on this very board. Can't say I blame them. Given the selection, I would feel the same. Apart from still voting since I know everyone staying at home contributes to a radical's win. Radicals are far more likely to vote than moderates. Even more so, if the moderates aren't presented with a desirable choice.

Nor I, it took her two months to lose a seven-point average lead.

I do think that once the first head-to-head debate takes place, you'll see her jump back to a solid lead and not look back. He can't get cheap laughs talking about dick size, he has nowhere near her command of facts, and if he attacks her he reminds women and minorities exactly why he's a cunt.

But Trump, to his credit, keeps gaining ground.

I would argue that that speaks more ill about those polled than it does good about him or his political savvy.
