That's my entire point.  It's an incredibly vague label that people can apply to anything they don't like.

Not anything they don't like, just something relating to the topic. That's quite intellectually dishonest to say "anything" in the context of this topic.

It's an incredibly vague label that people can apply to anything vaguely related to the Left that they don't like.  I thought that much was obvious.  It's a rather useless term.

Vaguely related to the left? Not really, I've known Right Winger Feminists and SJW's.

Besides, I think I'd like to stay on topic and ask you if the debate has shifted (especially on YOUTUBE) from religion to social issues.

So tell me, what is the proper use of the term "regressive left" if it can be used to describe right-wingers?

You've been replying to my posts about the regressive left... perhaps you should be more careful with which posts you quote. Either way, you said you can 'easily' provide a definition for "regressive left" and I said that it was an extremely vague and ultimately useless definition.

In regards to "SJW/Feminist" mentality, I asked you to define the way you're using those as well, which you haven't done.

Those who take the term or those who use the term for others? Big distinction between those two things right?

What do you mean by "those who take the term?"  I've never seen anyone describe themselves as a social justice warrior.

RE: Has the Atheism vs. Theism debate played it's course?
I came into this forum fairly naive about my ability to convince someone to believe in God and christianity through a scientific or historical method. I came to the realization that there is no scientific proof for or against God, so we just come away from the argument with no conclusion. As far as history shows, I believe much of the new testament to be written by eyewitnesses, which is backed by many, but not all historians. Atheists choose to believe those who do not accept my conclusion. I've discussed scientific evidence that points to the need for a creator, but an atheist will say that it could be many things besides God. I've come to be able to view and be sympathetic to both sides of the argument. I've even come to accept that we have developed through an evolutionary process.

I've studied the evidence and I still believe in God and see him in creation. I also perceive him to be at work in my life. I do believe that the universe was designed by God and that Jesus walked the earth and did what the bible says he did. I trust the witnesses. If I am in conversation with someone who is an atheist or isn't a christian, the way I talk will allow that person to know that I'm a christian. Sometimes the person wants to get into that and other times they don't, in which case we don't go there. For now, I don't think that there is much value in the scientific debate since christians can't scientifically prove God and christians and the bible are compatible. I guess it can point out that atheists tend to accept certain conclusions that are not scientifically verifiable, i.e., abiogenesis, but it's still not proving God.

I do think that a respectable debate is very helpful. I look at participating in these forums is one of the best things that ever happened to me. It's opened me up to the logical arguments against christianity and made me thoroughly assess my reasons for believing. It's also made me more sympathetic towards those who believe differently than myself. Sometimes we don't look at each other as real people.
