Cant blame this on reporters and judges Trump
June 1, 2016 at 8:10 am
Anyone who knows basic civics, but also anyone who has worked in journalism, know the "Freedom of information act", which is used by media to force court records open. Now this is still case by case, but it used over and over to act as a watchdog to government. AND this is a good thing.
Asshole Trump has demonized the most important aspect of western society, a free news press. No I am not talking about tabloid media rags, I'd only argue that it is up to society to stop valuing junk media, but you cant outlaw it all. But that is not what Trump is doing is attacking the idea of a government watchdog.
Well asshole, this isn't a news journalist or a judge, this is your own former employees. You are a sick fuck to blame journalists for using the very tool that is used to keep society free. FUCK YOU TRUMP!

Sucks when the media actually does its job and holds people's feet to the fire, huh?

Trump's behavior, isn't a party issue. I am not kidding. He isn't hosting WWE or Jerry Springer. His tactics of scapegoating and demagoguery are toxic to the idea of a free society. He really is taking the same fear tactics despots use to consolidate power. Now we still have a constitution protecting us, but we cannot afford this to become a political norm to be used by any politician of any party.
Offensive speech has to be protected, but there is a completely separate role for politicians than there is for civilians and private media. I am 49 and never in my lifetime have I ever seen such dangerous rhetoric spewed by any politician. This man should really scare the shit out of anyone who values a free society. His dangerous rhetoric goes way beyond mudslinging.

This is a big part of the reason I would NEVER vote for Trump. Education is the issue I consider of UTMOST importance. Anyone who would try to scam people interested in furthering their education to make a quick buck is off my list of people I'd vote for immediately.

Trump's not the only one. Whenever any given rightwinger comes to power the first thing they do is cracking down on the media. Their's is the only narrative they want to see in print and televised. Because it doesn't stand closer scrutiny, since all they are able to do is to incite fear, hatred and exclusion.
We observe that with Hungary and Turkey and we're starting to observe it in Poland.

And because, implicitly, they wish to break the rules of the narrative without consequences. It's no accident that all those ardently anti-gay preachers get caught with their pants down, nor that the anti-trans "protect women and children!" guys are exactly the same guy admitting that they'd totally prey on women if given the chance. The narrative exists to further their interests and nothing more, certainly not to constrain them in any way.

I don't know about "sucks" but certainly it has been rare. Especially since the fuckers have been treating the Drumpfuck like a ratings bonanza since he declared. I guess they have finally decided that the jig is up.

I guess they have finally decided that the jig is up. The anti-Trump attacks are likely being funded by the Repub establishment "anyone but Trump" wing. It's classic propaganda. I'll bet they come forth with a dildo candidate very soon that they will claim is God's gift to the universe.

The media, as it pertains to news and its responsibility as the 4th Estate, has for quite sometime been part of our entertainment industry. Most outlets are beholden to ratings and will feed the mass what it desires for revenue. This is why in the UK at the time of Diana's death the BBC stopped wall to wall coverage after about 24 hours, yet Americans had to endure two weeks of it.
I still have an electronic subscription to the New York Times. Although the slant is obvious in most cases, the quality of daily journalism is tough to beat. I monitor the Twitter feeds of the Brookings Institute, The Cato Institute and the Center for American Progress (also Humans Rights Watch, but its focus is too narrow to be considered in the previous group). I admit that I gave the Heritage Foundation a whirl for conservative perspective, but found them to be over the top (think Limbaugh and Hannity). I am now test driving the American Enterprise Institute for the conservative view of things and so far is measurably better than Heritage.

The media as it stands is biased. For one they don't know how to attack trump properly all you really do
is go back to what he said one day compare it what he said another. It's easy enough to do he flips flops on what he says
you can even attack the fact that he bailed a few times. Even failed businesses and even the whole trump college deal too.
