Also, that's a Mockingjay, but I think that was the point...
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

After watching that, something has risen and it wasn't the sun!
Think about how many squats she must have done to get that butt. Sexist or not, she can wear a bodycon dress wherever she wants. She's earned it.

Yeah, plus hardly anyone follows the rules anyway.

Exactly. The unbiased interpretation is a person choking a person.

1) This country in particular isn't unbiased. It's flagrantly racist, misogynist, and homophobic on a regular basis.
2) While I don't agree with trigger warnings slapped all over stuff, it's pretty goddamn lazy and asinine of them to have put up THAT ONE SCENE which, if you didn't know anything about the movie or X-men in general (and let's face it - many, many people have come to comic book movies not knowing a damn thing about them), it would look like someone was advertising a movie with some pretty terrible themes in it. Themes maybe some people would decide they didn't want to see. And that's their choice. But they don't have a choice if they're driving by and see some dude choking a female (let's cut the mutant on mutant crap, mmkay?) entirely out of context, and hey, maybe their current or last relationship consisted of getting choked because they were late with dinner or forgot to smile appropriately or someone just came home angry and looking to kick the dog and take it out on the person they perceived as weaker than them. Yes, some people can find sexism or racism or some other thing to be irritated at in just about anything if they try, but instead of having to try this one is just slapped out there. They literally could have copied Civil War and had the opposing sides coming at each other. They didn't. They chose an action which, no matter what the gender, is troubling, and because of the history of power dynamics between men and women, is even more troubling in a lot of cases.
Terrible choice of advertising for the movie, but par for the course in a series which has continually made really shitty choices.
I find it somewhat hysterical when people spend 10 pages arguing about why something isn't sexist rather than just saying "huhn. Well, okay. Maybe it was a bad choice of image." Because, you know, no one was campaigning to change the movie. Just complaining that a stupidly violent and crass image was plastered up on a sign.
But you know, females are the ones that need to get over stuff.

I hope it's already obvious that it's a highly inappropriate poster that many people think is sexist.

Anyone who suggests either "females" or "males" are "the one who needs to get over stuff" is being sexist.
