We're all dead in the long run, to quote Keynes. The trick is to ignore that fact and live a little.

Australia is dead. Stone cold dead. There are signs of life if Europe's drift to the right, and with Trump, but barely a beating heartbeat down here.

I keep forgetting we're dead, only to be reminded in moments like this.

I must have missed that memo.
I swear, the government can't do so much as send out a notice of death these days.  Dodgy

I indeed hit London from Calais once. It fought back very vigorously using IPAs until I forgot why I was there.

Something like 2:65 would have really won the crowd over.

"2:65 And ye know of those of you who broke the Sabbath, how We said unto them: Be ye apes, despised and hated!"

Non event.

Showing a little courtesy.

It's what politicians do.

Get back to me when this affects extremism among Australia's Muslim population.

Or, more importantly, let's concern ourselves with religious groups being allowed to act as support groups in Australian schools - and paid for by the Aussie taxpayer.

Well, if he had opened with something like the first sentence in 3:73 it might have won the crowd over, since it was a religious event.

3:73 - "And do not trust except those who follow your religion...."

The bottom line is that it's not a good idea to humor people who believe in silly ethnocentric religious fairy tales.
