UK to leave EU
RE: UK to leave EU
Nigel, the weasel, remains at the EU parliament. If you didn't know who you're dealing with here, that's an excellent pointer. Cash in as long as possible. Two years of salary plus expenses. I mean, who wouldn't? Unless you just ran a campaign to leave that particular organisation and resigned from leading your party, because, having some personal life after the job is done. But non olet, as the Romans used to say when it came to money. Business as usual, one may say.

Did he realise all along what a fuck up he was stirring, or did he just figure it out?

Either way, clearly he doesn't want to go down with his ship. Just like Cameron, he wants some patsy to step in and take the heat.

Am I being too cynical? Not cynical enough?

Not sure it matters, but from a British and EU perspective; would anyone want that fuckbag anywhere near any negotiations?

Fuck him.

Nigel Farage today resigned as Ukip leader, claiming he wanted his life back.

The MEP, who has been one of the country’s most recognisible Eurosceptic figures over the past ten years, made the announcement at a press conference in Central London.

Farage, who famously ‘unresigned’ as party leader last May, insisted today that this time his resignation was permanent.

In front of Ukip MEPs and other party officials, Farage made the shock announcement less than two weeks after the country voted to leave the European Union.
"

Thanks to Nigel along with the other Brexiters, for campaigning tirelessly to get us this referendum. We finally achieved our freedom. Good luck to whatever he does now.

Why are you giving kudos to a shit who hates you?

This is just like musical chairs! Who's going to be left holding the bag when the music stops?

If we could have voted on it, it might have very well gone the same way - and I'd be criticizing that result just as soundly.

It was a hypothetical question, if the US had joined a trading bloc, that after 20 years had turned itself into law making, undemocratic superstate in waiting.....how do you think the US would have voted?

I believe I answered that part.

No vested interest?  You do realize that the UK doesn't exist in a vacuum, don't you?  My wife and I personally lost a few thousand dollars in our 401K the day after the Brexit, and we're in the U.S.  My parents also lost thousands, too.  You see, it's this kind of rhetoric coming from the Brexit crowd that makes me feel as if they did not think this through.

The global economy is everyone's vested interest, and I find it frightening that don't seem to grasp that.

Well, pardon fucking me if your guess isn't very comforting to those of us that didn't have a say in the matter.  This was not a decision to make based on how you think it's going to turn out.

I reiterate, can you imagine the vitriol we Americans would get if we tanked the economy with a vote and all we had to offer was "my guess is we'll be stronger?"  Yet you Brexiters think everyone else should just shut their mouths about it and accept your vote as if it's going to have no effect on us at all.  Sorry to burst your bubble, but you don't live in a vacuum, and your choices have real consequences.  Try to think about that next time you step into the voting booth.

While he may be an intolerant fuckbag who definitely isn't Prime Minister or Brexit negotiating material, he still deserves kudos in this particular instance for helping get us the referendum in the first place. I give kudos to people who deserve them, whether they hate what I am or not. Doesn't mean I suddenly like him.
