If two people were in a room, and 52% of them wanted to blow up the house, what would I do?

What if 52% (wtf?) wanted to move mortgages to a different bank so they could reduce costs / T&C's?

Well, I'd make sure that none of them blew up the house first.

I was joking again, it was my silly sense of humour Smile

As things stand now, you actually made mortgages more expensive. Going by the pound's value. Lowest value since 1985. I wouldn't be overly bothered by that, if the international stock markets hadn't take a huge hit yesterday and haven't recovered as of yet. Which kind of concerns all of us.

Which was to be expected, without being an economics guru. So, Rob's example of blowing up the house isn't that far fetched.

Yeah, I'll bet many people in UK right now wish they went with a fixed-rate mortgage. Undecided

I think David Cameron underestimated how vicious the right-wing cooperate media can be. The establishment was at war over this. The debate became tiresome so I switched off early on. I was on the fence for a while though, in the end, I decided to vote for the status-quo.

Hardly the point I was making and I think you know that...

The pound losing value isn't necessarily a bad thing (according to economics guru's) as it will mean it will help exports.

Signed the petition.

Not sure what fantasy world "leave" supporters live in, but no, the pound losing value is not a good thing. It might help some exports, but it won't help the rest of the economy, it won't help regular people, and...oh right, you just voted to leave a powerful trading block, so that export help might be short lived.

Currency losing its value might not be a bad thing?

That's the kind if ad hoc rationalization I'd expect from the likes of Ken Ham...
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Some exports??? The pound is lower so any item exported at the previous price will make more profit after exchange OR they could lower the items price to sell more, in both cases bringing in more money!  More money in means possible opportunities for more jobs and investment.  How is that not good for business and good for people in general?

Shit. I have been to London twice, even played football vs the veteran Reading FC team. It was cool, but a single pint costed like 5x what it costs here. I think it will cost more from now on. Because the EU doesn't allow vaping adverts.
