The 100 index isn't really indicative of most UK companies. You need to look at the 250 index, the majority of which are UK based, owned and operated, to see where the real damage lies:

The UK got robo-dumped on the vote, devaluing it...and then robo-rebought at a reduced price, revaluing it and creating a margin in the process.  Basically pickpocketing those funds it had pledged to set aside for recovery. Or, if you prefer, the UK just had unprotected sex with it's new "friends".

I sincerely think this is the beginning of the end of the EU as we know it. In five years' time, the chances of us seeing a 'European Union' are no better than the chances of seeing a 'United Africa' in the same period.

Truth be told, I'm surprised the EU lasted as long as it has. Never forget that Europe is made up of many different countries, each with a proud tradition of hating all the other ones.

In an ideal world, yes. And I share your hopes. But same as with the constitution, this has to be put to the general vote. And that's where I'm sceptical with all the right wing bawling and the inability of serious politicians to communicate.
