Actually just over half of the people who actually voted wanted to leave. That's all we know. The abstainers might not even have known and decided to stay at home. Polls said that there was still a huge number of undecideds right until the last moment. And many of those who did vote to leave are now regretting it. Many didn't expect it to actually happen and were just making a protest vote.

Almost always against each other. Unless it was about slaughtering brown or yellow people. Then it could turn into a combined effort. Such as the Boxe Rebellion in China.

No no no, this is just too delicious.  A lifetime of listening to peoples complaints, big and small, about the US fucking the world up, have laid the groundwork for my sadism in -this- regard.  

In a hundred years time, our little middle eastern mis-adventures will be a footnote as a contributing factor to the UK's grundlestabbing of the european dream.

Nigel Farage has told MEPs "you're not laughing now" as he was jeered and booed at an emergency meeting of the European Parliament to discuss Brexit.

The guy has a clear resentment of the EU, that's not a rational assesment of it. He's anti-EU because he identifies as a nationalist and is euroskeptic, not because he has made a rationally less favorable assessment.

It's always a mistake when someone jumps to a particular political conclusion and wants to influence others into jumping to the same conclusion, so they come up with reasons after the fact to convince others: rather than genuinely finding valid reasons first before rationally coming to a conclusion and then sharing those reasons with others.

Yeah, but you have to be a kingsized idiot to not know what would happen if the European market broke apart overnight. Either that or they're hoping to cash in on the ensuing crisis that would make the great depression look like a joke. There's nothing to win for working folks like us by the EU falling apart. But there's very much to lose.

Farage already is a hero for right wingers all over Europe. The likes of Le Pen, Wilders, Strache and others. But the question remains, what do they stand to gain when the economy lies in ruins?
