You can google it up if you want. And i think that is proof that psychologically people have a belonging in God which comforts them, if lets say a religious people become atheist they may have no one to turn to because atheism has a isolated way of reaching out and is much more individualistic. So that may be the reason why atheists commit more suicides than religious people.
Well . . . DUH. Atheists don't believe hell exists. Or heaven either. Xtians think that their gawd is going to fry them if they take their life in order to end their miserable existence. Hopping from the frying pan into the fire, quite literally. Atheists think that the light is going to go out, the pain will stop, and everything will stop, which can get pretty appealing when life is not going well. Personally, no matter what side we're on, advocating for more efficient and more available mental health care would seem much more humane than just crowing that "you atheist idiots commit suicide because you don't have the comfort of my imaginary friend, neener neener neener". Scum-sucking fuckwad troll.

Personally, god for me god was an anthropomorphic deity resembling the image of man. Why did I believe? Well I was born into it. I knew nothing else contrary till 9th grade biology and freshman college year biology. Why did I struggle to stay in? Because I wanted social acceptance as a faithful man who was devote...look the part you know? A little was pressure from family to stay in and obey. Then a little was hope that god would heal me from my troubles and help me become successful. Why did I think about going back? Basically for all the same reasons... until I figured it was all a real lie, that I was caving into internal and outward pressures, and that I was lying to myself. Oh, so goes the joys of leaving the mormon church and being confused.
