Besides, anything god would tell people in genesis, which he clearly says is okay, doesn't get to be trumped by a supposed lawmaker. After all, gods word is supposed to be the be all and the end all. Especially since he is the creator. Following that logic, I fail to see how a mere mortal can override something god said was okay to do in the first place.

I know you quoted two scriptures, my point is one has nothing to do with the other. If there is no law then where is the condemnation?

Actually they do have to do with one another. The second one directly contradicts the first. Just like lots of other things in the bible.

Are you going to read and respond to the replies of believers or are you just going to keep repeating yourself?

Just needed to ensure pigs would be around so his kid could infest them with demons before chasing them off a cliff.

I have responded. Are you going to actually read or are you just going to keep being delusional about that?

I'm going to explain what's being said in the simplest terms I can and expand on what Nymphadora is saying.

I can't speak for others, but from what I see the point of this thread is to not condemn people who do or do not eat pork. The point is citing two statements that contradict each other. Thus, only one statement can be true. This is the same reasoning lawyers go about questioning a witness. If there are obvious contradictions in what's being said then that usually suggests a problem with the person's story and it starts to unravel. Follow that train of thought and you can understand what's being asked.

So the pigs' meaning of life were to die. Wait, our purpose is to die. The meaning of life is death. OH MY CIRCLE!

Thank you, Ayen, for getting the point.

The contradiction is all in your mind. Huggy and I both pointed out that each command was given during two very different dispensations and that the Mosaic laws were given to a specific nation while the Gentiles remained bound by Noahide laws. Do you not understand that sometimes commands are given to specific individuals and groups? Just because God commanded Noah and Moses to build arks doesn’t mean everyone else has to build boats and hope chests.

If you wish to continue beclowning yourself be my guest.

Considering the purpose of Noah's ark was to avoid death via flood and continue the planet's population I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it means.

And it's still a contradiction due to the lack of specifics in God's statements. This is where the witness usually amends their testimony to convey what's being said easier. This of course would make sense if God was human and more prone to making contradictory statements.

I would like to see actual proof that medium rare is how "most" people ate everything.
