You're not stupid at all. It's easy to accidentally fudge things up with the button I always type my tags out manually.

Yeah, I'm not smart enough for that. And if it's an especially long tag, I like the fact that I can put a word or two as a descriptor instead of having to show a long url for it.

Oh well. I'll just continue to stay dumb.

I can try to help. I'm not computery at all. I don't even own a computer. The last time I had one, I gave it away because I couldn't figure out how to use the damn thing.

For url you just type [url= then copypasta your url in then type ] then type what you want to read then type [/ and url]

Like this

I stopped using the url tags months ago because they were not working properly.  Now I just paste it as plain text and it seems to work fine.

No explanation.  Mysterious Ways.  You know how that shit goes.

If you don't want it to read as words, then just pasting in a url works just fine.
