Let's watch a movie

Ok, so are we watching Sunshine or something else?

So far, two movies have been suggested to watch. Sunshine and Moon. They're both sci-fi and they're both awesome, in my opinion.

If you're interested in watching it with us, post your preference and watch it during the weekend. Begininning monday(or maybe Tuesday), we'll discuss it throughout the week and then, in a week's time, we'll watch something else.

I don't want to be the one picking the movie, but if it comes to it, I will. All you have to do is express your unwilingness to watch it and we'll decide together on another movie to watch. That's as simple as it is, really. If we all agree about a movie, we watch it, if not, we suggest other titles until everyone's on board.

So I say we watch Sunshine right now and Tuesday start discussing it as a group. If anyone disagrees, post here until the end of the day(forum time) or forever hold your peace.

Can anyone verify that the default AF forum time is GMT + 3:30(10:13) - as of the time of this posting? Or is that my time? My real time seems to be different from this one, and this is what AF shows me the time is, so I'm not sure.

Here's another thought too... perhaps in the first post, you can do a queue of the movies so that we know what's going to be coming up next - sort of the way the mafia game queue runs? Perhaps the mods could/ would be willing to handle that part?

Also, is this limited to sci-fi or would anyone be willing to watch other genres? If so, I have a movie in mind that is worth discussing:

Anyway, that's just my thoughts. We have over 500 movies in our personal library here at the house. I suppose we could go to Red box and get a movie to watch, if necessary.

Of course we can pick any genre, not just sci-fi. It just happened that two sci-fi movies came to mind when I thought about what we could watch. I guess someone else followed my example maybe, I don't know.

Look, I'm down with anything, really.. We'll figure out how better to do this later, but for now, I'd just be glad if we could decide on something. So I'm ok with both your suggestion and bennyboy's and I don't want to be the one choosing one over the other, so if you guys could decide amongst yourselves that would be great . If not, then we'll just go with your suggestion if it happens to be the last one made today - I think that would be a nice rule to get started, don't you think? If everyone fails to post by the end of the day(or fails to agree on the same movie), then the last suggestion wins by default.

This is just for now to get out of a possible impasse, of course. Or else, if we're going to do this every time, we'll presumably end up having all the suggestions being made in the last minute of the last hour of the day, which is kind of impractical and unfair to those who won't be available during that time. We'll figure out something else later. Maybe someone will write a short program to choose one number from a set of numbers, each number representing one of our suggestions, and we'll do it like that.

Watching it together was a figure of speech. Strictly speaking, we're going to watch it separately, but simultaneously, during the weekend, so we can discuss here, on the forums, afterwards.
