Furthermore, I enjoy posting on forums and give my opinions, NOT to receive reputation just to inflate the ego, because that is what happens in most cases. I just see them as pixels on a screen and it adds no more credibility than a gold star for doing well at mental mathematics. That is my two'penneth anyway and I will say nothing more. So, I have enjoyed my time here and it has been great, but I am going to leave quietly. It is not the forum for me in spite of my non-religious leanings. Good luck.
Sorry you feel that way. I didn't realize that giving you rep would drive you off, or I wouldn't have done it. Not quite the quiet exit, but hey, everyone does things in their own style.

Maybe the problem is how you receive opinions which don't comport with yours? I know I get antsy with folks sometimes when they can't see what I think is entirely obvious. Perhaps you've got that same catch built into you?
That is how forums are in most part. If you don't conform to the norm on a particular forum, then your opinion, whether right or wrong, adds no worth. Again, I have seen it for myself on a football forum from an opposition supporter. They have been shouted down and ridiculed simply because of not what they say but because of who they support. However, there are supporters who try to be at least objective and see both sides and they are generally accepted. When it comes down to either your opinion or their opinions, then he/she will always be in the minority since they don't subscribe or conform to the views of that particular forum.

Just as I thought. It's like suicide with the vocal board leavers. The ones talking about it don't do it. They just seek attention.

People have the right to leave a forum board, it is just comparing it to suicide which pisses me off. Two close members of my family have attempted suicide and succeeded so, I'd prefer another word other than suicide because unless you have known someone who has gone through it, you are not qualified to make a comparison...capisci?

Yeah, that's assuming I haven't known some. Everyone has their family history. And if I was to report everyone hitting a nerve with mine, I would be very busy.

RobertE,
you may not like the comparison, but it doesn't violate forum rules
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
