Atheist/liberal correlation

I voted discrimination by religion as being unconstitutional.

Good thing I don't give a fuck about their constitution, just as I don't about mine.

An old dusty document shouldn't dictate how things should be forever, especially now that society has changed so much so fast(and continues to). And my understanding is they either don't want to change it or somehow think they can't - both positions being idiotic, IMO.

They can change the constitution.

I also stated that I am of the opinion that abortions should be illegal, except for rape cases and such.

We disagree there too!

I'm pro-choice through and through.

I don't care if it is unconstititional either, but I am glad that discrimination against religion is against the constitution. Who cares what fuckers believe, as long as they're harmless.

Well, that's just fucked.

Even by your standards.

I am much more nuanced on that than we can reasonably discuss here in a couple of posts, or than you could imagine from what I've said so far. Just don't go ahead and jump to conclusions, is all I'm asking. Chances are, I've thought more about the issue than you did yourself.

As about abortions, I believe that it's not simply a woman's choice what happens to her body, since it doesn't become just her body anymore once she becomes pregnant. I believe contraception methods are there for a reason.

I doubt you thought about it more than me. I was a lot more of a militant atheist for years on these forums years back. I've thought about it a fuck ton.

As for abortions: It is her body though.

I said it doesn't become just her body, not that it isn't her body. Will you pay closer attention to what I'm saying, or are you deliberately misquoting me?

I'll admit I'm not the most informed person about abortions, and CL is the one who made me change my mind about them, since I support all life in a sense, despite not for religious reasons. Who knows? I might change my mind in the future again.

It seems to me like you haven't thought about it that much, if you're so ready to defend someone's violent, barbaric and stupid ideas when they clash with reality. I know most muslims aren't terrorists, I also know this ideology is extremely dangerous and transmissible, and I would rather demand that people either dissassociate themselves from it or support the consequences(such as being associated with the bad stigma of terrorism and such). If Christianity produced this many problems today I wouldn't hesitate a second to say the same about it.
