No, that is what you chose to focus on. I talk about lots of other stuff too. Problem with gun worshipers is that they don't want to know the entire history of that organization, and how, when it started, really was a non profit safety organization which, if were proposing the same things now as they did when they first started, today's gun worshipers would not support them. The NRA got hijacked by a small group of nuts and greedy people the 1970s and that is what you are seeing today. Just like the GOP is no longer the party of Lincoln or even Teddy.
And maybe you keep forgetting that there is no party oath required to own a firearm in any case. Yes the NRA is bad and it is nothing gun owners should support both liberal and conservative gun owners. They are nothing but a profit lobby in the same manor big tobacco created a "smoker's rights" lobby to protect bad marketing and outright falsehoods about smoking.
If you have taken a basic civics class then you already know one politician, nor judge, much less one president, has ever had the sole power to over turn any amendment, they cant even add one either by themselves. To reverse an amendment you have to get a majority of state legislators along with a majority of voters, like they did in repealing prohibition. Only an idiot thinks that will happen with the Second Amendment. It doesn't matter to me that we even point out our allies who don't have a law like that still on average have a lower gun death rate in any case and still don't ban all guns. It still remains that even if some wanted to overturn it, it is virtually impossible in any case.
Yes, the NRA is bad, because it is not a rights lobby or safety advocate, it is a profit lobby. No, I wont stop saying they are bad because right now in this point in history, they are.
