Anonymous posting

The forum goal is discussion.  Discussion is hampered by an inability to identify one's participants.  How would quoting work?  How would you know who is replying to whom?

It doesn't sound like it would be good for discussions.  What would it be useful for?

Shitposting, IMO.

I feel like we're nice enough people(if you'll allow me to include myself in that category, despite x and y) that we wouldn't be using it for that.

Not really, as the moderators and administrators would still be able to identify the members. But yeah it's not really needed on the forums.
