What God is to the Universe is what your mind is to your body

As I have just demonstrated pretty comprehensively, using a non-biased resource purely on the subject of etymology (which you brought up), that is not true.

Pater and patr are the root words for both Father and Pattern. They also have the same function biologically. The Father imparts imparts material pattern to complete the Mother's set, the matter of the Mother's body is used to grow the embryo.

Why then, would seeing an underlying meaning here or anywhere else -mean- anything more than whatever underlying divine meaning resides in your taking a morning shit?  It becomes another term for "normal stuff happening".

On that note, did you know there are more bacterial flora and fauna cells in your body than human cells? You aren't the passenger, you're the ride. Tongue

It means what it means to those who seek it, answers only matter to those who ask good questions.

Father and Mother, Pater and Mater, pattern and matter.

Before the inflation of the BBT singularity, there was only pure matter in no pattern, no differentiation.

After the inflation, regular pattern is imposed on the matter of the universe which takes the regular and repeated basic unit shape of the atom.

Pure bullshit!

You are sooooooooo full of shit!

Origin and Etymology of matter
Middle English matere, from Anglo-French, from Latin materia matter, physical substance, from mater

So, you've got one that shares a root, and one that shares nothing. I share roots with my cousin, but I am not my cousin.

Or, perhaps you can show us a dictionary entry showing us the etymology that proves your point...

I won't hold my breath.

A couple blogs vs. actual dictionary entries. Dictionaries trump blogs every time.

I've asserted that God is like the Father to a Mother and the universe is the womb and everything in it part of a developing life form.  I haven't gotten into why yet.

Analogy fail: My mind didn't create my body, my genetics and environment did.

Your mum created your body and at some point your mind took over its maintenance.

Yeah, you apparently don't understand the full connotation of "environment".

You apparently don't understand genetics, either. I arose as a result of the union of gametes from both a father and a mother. My mother nurtured my fetal form, but she didn't create it.

And as a matter of fact, after about nine months she got tired of this little leech and served it an eviction notice -- how's that for love?

Here is the downfall of religionists, they start with a conclusion, then cherry pick only the parts of the evidence that suits their conclusion. Kinda like building a house, starting by the roof.

That can work, if the roof is very small. And you always stay in the middle of your house. Wearing some tiles as a hat, basically.

I have a small roof ... it's called an umbrella. So small it's portable and even folding.

Do you know the etymological root of the word god? Without the literary devices of metaphor, analogy, personification, and anthropomorphism where would this god be?
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!
