But it was designed after the T34. But, and that's the deciding factor, between 1942 and 1945 less than 5000 have been produced. Even less Tigers. The T34 was as simple a concept as could be and it ruled the battlefield because of it's large production numbers whereas the Germans still relied mainly on the Panzer IV, constantly upgrading it's weapons and armaments.
