If you think Donald Trump is too crude and yet think a naked statue is fine, I have an article for you to read:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypocrisy

Grump has the right to say whatever he wants about Rosie O'Donnell, true. But he or anyone else doesn't have the right to be protected from any negative blow-back or backlash to his ill-mannered comments. If Grump wants to tweet inflammatory opinions, no one's stopping him but he'd better not cry when someone then makes a naked statue of his sorry-looking ass.

Oh, I don't think that he should be crying about it. I think the statue is funny. You just can't complain about Trump's political discourse and at the same time say the statue is okay. Either lowball political tactics are okay or they aren't across the board. My problem is when people are selective about it. For example Brian saying that it's not okay for Trump to insult Rosie O'Donnell, but okay for an insulting naked statue. I'm okay with both really, so at least I'm (and I believe you) are consistent about it. Many people are not though and are only okay with insults when it's against the people they don't like. That's just stupid and inconsistent.

My problem with Trump has always been the same, nothing to do with the language he uses, which is a non-issue. My problem is that he's not qualified in the least to be president.

Nope, he doesn't lose his right to human dignity for being an asshole.
Or do you want to reinstate 'eye for an eye' as the law of the land? I wouldn't think so...

What? No sorry, nobody is or should suggest we lynch him or torture him. Offensive speech is protected, blasphemy is protected. I would suggest you think about all the things we say here that offend religious people. No, what I am talking about here and I have said it before, is he has no concept of what a western leader's role is. He isn't a shock jock and politics isn't an episode of Jerry Springer. No it is not an "eye for an eye" in any physical context in the slightest. When a politician gets to his point of scapegoating demagoguery, which he has, the right thing to do is blaspheme.

Blasphemy? What are you talking about?
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

I don't know if you're serious or taking the piss, but you're absolutely right.

The problem is that power is too abstract a notion to attack, and so his male sexual stamina serves as a substitute. This shortcut of the powerless of attacking powerful males via their sexual prowess seems somehow acceptable to society. If someone did it with Hillary though, it wouldn't be considered ok. Is that because undermining male sexuality is considered a legitimate means to attack power because it is considered to be aggressive and dominant, while female sexuality isn't perceived that way?

Ok, there, Dr. Freud. It's just a statue.

It's a naked statue with a purposely small penis. It's not like I'm imagining phallic symbols in my breakfast cereal here.

I see no problem with making an anatomically uninformed statue of a public figure for the sole purpose of ridicule and comedic effect. You are mistaking forcing Donald Trump to get naked on camera with making a statue of him.

You think you know what "the Hillary supporters" think? Where did you find that crystal ball?

To be fair, one only has to imagine what would happen to arive at the same first conclusion as she did.

Btw, this is only body shaming if body shaming is all you care about and as a result you see body shaming in every satire.   This is satire based on the universal knowledge of the fable about the foolish and vainglorious emperor not wearing cloth.

So chill out.

I agree with the second part of your post.

But here's a definition of hypocrisy, just in case.

Quote:the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.

They have forgotten to add an underage kid to go with the statue. He "smells" like an old pedophile from a mile away. Not to mention the fact that the percentage of convicted for child abuse republicunts ain't small at all and keeps growing. To some people that party is a synonym of pedophilia.
