That wasn't the patch. That was that pill they came out with. Chantix is the name. I refuse to take that. Wellbutrin is another prescription in pill form, but that doesn't give you the dreams. Wellbutrin is also used for other things too.
Anywho... I got two hours of sleep. Gotta take my other half (Rob) into work today because I need to run errands and do stuff before school today.

Well that's another thing.... I cut out all processed foods from the house two months ago. If we want it, it has to be made from scratch. Doing that has been a lot easier on my IBS and I've only had one major flair up since the end of June.
There is a huge space in my freezer waiting for me to make more homemade pasta sauce. We have already gone through the 18 pounds I made three weeks ago.

Good luck. Something I've not been able to do, but then I haven't really tried.
Urge surf, Mark mentioned the delay tactic, come up with a list of distractions (not eating), put a pen in your hand, ..............

I understand that nicotine is more addictive than cocaine. So, switch your addiction to cocaine (do a line every time you want to light up) and then just give up cocaine. Piece of cake!

LOL! There are so many things wrong with that, that I can't even begin.
Anyway, the patch is helping. Haven't had an urge for a smoke since I put it on last night and already it's 11am.
Baby steps, right?

Completely irrelevant but I didn't know you and Rob were together. That is awesome. I'm sure yall have been together a long time and it's well known but I'm sitting here going awwwwww! lol anywho...
Quitting smoking is very difficult I've watched multiple people in my life try and quit. My fiancé used to smoke a pack and a half a day when we first met. If he hadn't switched to e-cigs we would never have gotten into a real relationship. He has weaned himself off nicotine in the longest fashion ever with the ecig. The nicotine level was really high (don't remember the level since it was years ago) and now he is down to a 3 which is the smallest amount of nicotine you can have in it and is almost none at all. He has an addictive personality and no desire to actually quit so he most likely never will but this is a good alternative. He smoked a real cigarette recently while drinking with buddies and it made him sick lol. I hope the patch works for you but if not have you looked into e-cigs as a back up? They at least smell really good (Tony gets a flavor called One Up and it smells like gummy bears lol) and can be lowered as you go. Still cold turkey is something to be proud of so I hope for the best for you!
