They might not pass for white in America, but they're a lot whiter than the average Japanese; and given that their history has a remarkable parallel with those of the American Indian, it's safe to say Japan doesn't have "whiter than everyone else" privilege.

Ethnic Privilege in situations where we haven't decided beforehand who belongs in what arbitrary aggregate and who gets what can get extremely complicated is all I'm saying.
It was an oblique reference and dig at "white privilege" when other races are chemically lightening their skin (including black celebrities) and white people are trying to get a tan.

Agreed.

So I wish to not be grouped with them.

Feminism isn't that scary. Misandry isn't a part of some doctrine in any part of it and I also don't condone it.

It's funny how often misandry is brought up as a counter to feminism on the internet though. Rolleyes

No worries, ScienceAf. I don't think you or any of the members of this site are the problem. I also don't think most men are the problem because I like most men. The issue lies within social norms.

But think about it: If one of feminism’s guiding principles is, possibly, to end discrimination by marching each human male into a massive industrial furnace heated to 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure his complete incineration, then is that really equality? I’m not so sure.
