At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

You know...
When it comes to 100% absolutely trusting someone and when it comes to someone who I will always without exception allow to override others... ...and when it comes to someone I will drop absolutely everything for and stop what I'm doing or who I'm talking to... there's only 1 person... and it's not myself. It's my #1. I like the term "bestie", I like the term "best friends". But I think I like the term "#1" even more now. My bestie is my number one and she can come to me whenever she wants and I'll be her friend. Even if I ever stopped being her #1, she'd always be my #1. Because I just desire her happiness more than anyone else's, because I've never met a friend or person who I've felt deserves happiness more than her and because no one has ever helped me more than she has. Ever. I was in the worst place and she helped me learn to say "no" to people who treated me badly... despite struggling with assertiveness herself she taught me how to be assertive when no one else ever could. And if it wasn't for her even when my mom had got me out of living with my ex-GF/ex-roommate -- I would have still allowed my ex-gf/roommate to push me around and control my life, and I would have still let her guilt trip me and let her into my home and visited her whenever she asked on a whim....-- I would have still been a people-pleaser... were it not for my bestie, were it not for my #1. I trust and care about and love no one like I trust and care about and love her -- absolutely 100% -- my bestie, my #1 -- and... ...and this is purely and entirely platonic. |
