RE: @ Everyone on AF: Would you miss me if I left?

Would it be permanently?
Yes! I would miss you a lot little bro. I really would. But I want what's best for you, if you feel you need a break, then you should take one. Please look after yourself.
Just one more question though, would it be permanent?

Your question is very loaded for such a simple one. It really would depend upon the context and reasons for why you are leaving in the first place. If you intentionally hurt someone here, and it was on the level of me being unable to forgive you for what you did then no. I wouldn't miss you. But if you didn't do anything to cause hurt and distrust and you simply left because you felt you honestly needed a break, then part of me would miss you. So honestly, there is no simple answer to your question.

You? Sure, why not?
But these damned poll threads? Not so much.

Tell me about it. We're a social species for a reason. We dry out if we can't talk to anyone else.
As for the poll. I don't participate. Missing? Sometimes I notice that certain members haven't posted in a long time. But they're usually back before I start asking questions. The only one I remember being on the brink of asking questions about was Stimbo at a certain point.

Why are you thinking of leaving us, bub? You'd be missed. We have history. But take all vacation days you like. Send us post cards when you can and then ring us up when you get back in.

To be totally honest, you are great in debates and arguing your corner. However, would I miss you, absolutely not, and the feeling would be mutual.

Define miss. In my 20 years of frequenting internet boards I missed quite a few people leaving. But not in the same sense as I would miss a real world aquaintance. Yes, I know, I know, some people will say, the internet is the real world too, but I digress. It's not the same as meeting face to face or exchanging phone calls. It's a virtual space to hang out and to find people to talk to on a global level.
Yes, I would miss some people on this board. Not naming names, but also not in the same way as some person I know IRL.

You should be asking Ken to define the "Miss", not me. I don't give a damn since I don't know him from Adam. I give my opinions here, but off the forum, I am quite a friendly person who talks very little about religion, politics and what have you due to the nature of my acquaintances i.e. Senegalese Muslim, French Catholic etc etc. Nothing worse than talking about religion and politics to friends so, I talk about other things instead.

Is that even a question? Of course, I would. But I'd rather have you do what makes you feel better, if you really need to take a break, you should, as long as you promise me to come back.

Of course. But I can wait, too
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
