your views on modern day porn consumption

RE: your views on modern day porn consumption
As someone who has studied art, I see nothing wrong with the nude human body. The display of porn really does not bother me. I just see it as art that people get off to in a different manner.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

Interesting.

Quote:America's Bible Belt states indulge in more online porn than other less religious states

Quote:A new study has found that US states with a higher degree of religiosity are more likely to be searching for sex on the web.
The study was compiled by researchers at Brock University in Ontario, Canada, and based on two years of data from Google Trends across US states.
Researchers found that states identified as religiously conservative and politically conservative were indulging in more online pornography than other more liberal states.

I think the title of the study was "Fapping In Alabama."

Really? I've never had a problem.

For anyone who is interested this is the safe for work intro. It's the real intro but there's no sex or nudity in the YouTube video.

I have the Alice one on my, er, hard drive. It is hilariously entertaining.

Porn parodies can be great. I've seen everything from The Dukes of Hazzard to Batman, via Scooby Doo and The Munsters. Seriously. The X-Files one is a damn good story beyond the sex scenes.

Oh, and the Star Wars one with Tom Byron as Obi-Wan Kenobi works better as a plain parody than a porno. "Her resistance to my probe is considerable". "Come for me, Obi-Wan... Come for me..."

Porn... Free... It's amazing how some people still gladly pay for it. I guess those are the ones paying for the industry.
I'm not knowledgeable on the subject, but I guess that most of the free porn out there is the crap one...
I guess there's quality porn... But you don't find it for free.
I think I remember once hearing about some sort of Oscar-like awards for the porn industry...so there's money rolling in there, for sure.
I also remember the tale of how the porn industry adopted VHS, instead of the superior quality Betamax, leading to the supremacy of VHS for years and years...then came the DVD.
Did you know that the DVD standard incorporates the option for the same scene shot from multiple angles and the viewer selects which angle to watch? Guess which industry made the most use of this feature?

As for demeaning women...hmm...there's gay porn...who are they demeaning, there?
But yes, in straight porn, it's all about the pounding up to ejaculation...that's it, that's the end game... The girl doesn't matter, she's just a tool. Like a sex toy.

On how it affects the bedroom action, I can only speak for myself... And it doesn't.
I believe that it does affect things for others, not the majority... Most people can tell the difference between a movie and real life... can't they?

As with everything it has its down sides and it's up sides... I imagine it can help keep a husband faithful... Or make him seek out what he sees in the movies...
It can be used to help explore one's own sexuality... Or to destroy the hopes at one. I've heard stories of young men so concerned with their own size that it affected how they interacted with the ladies...and, when asked about the actual size... It was well in the real world average. But small for the "perceived average".

So yeah...it can go both ways.
Like the consumption of wine, beer, anti-depressants, chocolate or red meat...Most people do it right...some don't.

This is what I mean about us being sexually repressed. The more we try to restrict sex, the more we find ways to circumvent the rules.
If The Flintstones have taught us anything, it's that pelicans can be used to mix cement.

Isn't that the whole reason tentacle porn came to exist in Japan?

You know that's an entirely American thing. Being concerned over a youngster having access to viewing boobs or consenting adults doing what's in their nature. We already had full nudity on mainstream tv in the 60ies and 70ies. But we also make a distinction between porn, which requires some sexual action and nudity. Porn is only people having at each other. The hairy ass acrobatics of the blue movies doesn't count either, since it mainly features male butt view giving the impression of having sex with a female underneath.

I find it much more dangerous when a 9 year old watches the news where people get shot for real while the camera provides pictures of it happening.

Sex between consenting consenting adults can never be as hurtful. It's sex and not something despicable that could hurt the tender minds of youngsters. It's rather the absence of sex ed that leads to premature and irresponsible sex, which in turn results in unwanted pregnancies.
