Once the wait is over then you get free housing?
I might open my own thread at some point so you can get your own back and interrogate me about my life.
Also I remember you mentioning a boyfriend, how does he fit into all this?
Does he want to move in with you at some stage?
Ps: no the housing isn't free. Just reduced pricing
For section 8 housing, your rent is fixed at 30% of your income. I too am on disability, and I don't know how I'd manage without subsidized housing. I was on the list for two years, but around here anyway, the housing situation has gotten worse. Waiting periods have gone berserk.

They closed our waiting list here. It's been closed for seven years now.

And no not really the money isn't enough. 600$ for a one bedroom and then I have 153 for all my necessities. That includes cane replacements, household cleaners, toiletries, clothes, transportation. Even when I had my my own place my parents still had to help me. And that's not fair to me or them.
Youre paying 600 for a one bedroom, meaning giving your parents the rent money?
That is quite reasonable really. For an appartement that we rent, it costs the equivalent of $1,600 per month, meaning that in reality, it is much better to buy than to rent in the long run. Not only that, I pay roughly the equivalent of $1,000 per year on transport too.

can you pay for medical supplies, medicine, transportation, household cleaners and everyday needs, school supplies, books, hair care, etc with a little less than $150? Somehow I don't think you can....

Well, to get a new prescription from a Doctor it costs roughly 30 dollars. I am bald and thus no need to use hair products. I am not at school, I read using my apple application. Do you have to pay child maintenance for each child?

I have no children. I'm single and can't afford any.

Then you are sensible in that sense. Having children when you cannot afford to is just not an option.

Hey BQ. I thought you were in a job and or mobility training program at one time, is that correct? If yes, is it still going on? If no, did the move kill it?
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.
