Yeah he sounds like he had it about as intense on the spectrum as you can get it. Sounds like he was low functioning in non-intellectual ways.

He once re-wrote the instructions for operating a calculator in a phonetic version of English which he had devised. He had grammatical and syntax rules for it and everything. This is why I feel he was highly intelligent but, as you say, socially dysfunctional. He was arrested multiple times by the police, once I recall, for riding his bicycle on the sidewalk which did not seem to be against any law on the books. They kept in in jail for a week before the judge threw out the charge. One time he walked into a pizzeria and told the owner that his pizza sucked. The owner punched him in the face and the cops arrested him for "disturbing the peace."

Hehe. "solitary together"
I'm actually an extremely sociable person, as much as I've isolated myself in RL for the time being until I find someone who doesn't guilt trip me and want me to say "yes" to everything (I attract this kind of thing somehow)--and I've read about how yes extroverted Aspies do exist, hehe. They're just far rarer.
I guess I'm introverted in other ways....... like almost never leaving my fucking home lol. My socialization is online where I can feel safe from people.
I'm socially anxious to please but not socially phobic. I need to be liked more than I need to not be disliked.
Watcha reckon ANKA?

No direct knowledge. No direct interaction that I know of. Only text book. My interaction with ASD's has been with significantly more impaired individuals.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

My best friend has Aperger's, and he's a great guy who I love to bits. It doesn't make you 'less' or a freak or anything. It's just a part of what you are, a portion of your make-up as a person.
You will still be our beloved Hammy, and you will still be a resplendent motherfucker <3
If you have any serious concerns, are being harassed, or just need someone to talk to, feel free to contact me via PM

This. You are who you are, not your diagnosis.

Don't sound too different, really, turtle, except for the being sociable. Isolated by habit and by just not really fitting in with most people; I have the same desire to please, sort of a compulsion to keep things in order I think, folk generally regard me just fine but I'm very low in expression, can't connect with most people, not interested in what people usually gab on about. I'm not at all compitant in social situations, not the type you'd invite to a party. Good for small company, talking bullshit over a beer.
