I'll probably abandon this thread in just about 24 hours. But who cares, right? At the end of the day, this is just another thread on a stupid old forum. 

But, yeah - ask me whatever you want.

Could you clarify the concept of dhimmi.  From my understanding, the dhimmi is a way of accepting those who think differently (most notably the other people of the book, such as practitioners of Christianity or Judiasm).  Would you say the dhimmi would extend to those people who are not of the holy book, such as outside faiths and the secular community? Thanks for your time and attention.

Think of the film "Goodfellas", and what service they provided to people who came from Italy and that should provide you with an answer. It is simply a tax you have to pay to the muslims to practice your own religion, whether you were Christian or Jewish.

Doesn't the bolded part remind you of something that Nazi concentration camps had for prisoners?

Ryaan, I've heard nothing but great things about you. But it seems you've been pretty inactive for the majority of the time I've been here. I'm glad you're more active again and that I get to be here for it.

With all this talk about politics and the election all over the place, I'm curious to know about some hot topics. What is ya'lls views on homosexuality and abortion? Do ya'll believe polygamy is morally ok as long as the laws allow it? And lastly, Hillary, Trump, or neither?
