christian school project
RE: christian school project
I recently watched a testimony of a russian monk, who 20 years ago fell from eight floor and was given a tour in the hell.

So, after he landed on the ground from eight floor and switching in to "ghost mode" he was met by demons in human shape. Those guys gave him a tour in hell, where people were tortured and regenerated constantly. And after the tour, judge(Some sort of hell king) asked him "Will you serve God? Or you would wish to proceed with your afterlife(he was destined to some sort of helish existance according to the judge). The 20 year old just promised to serve the God, after seeing the hell.

Under the threat of torture, guy was basically blackmailed in to becoming Gods servant. Love is great, isnt it? This russian indeed had gave up 20 years of his life and most likely will sacrifice the rest, but is this love you would like to be subjected to?

Welcome, stranger! How's about an intro? We'd love it!

I'm really an anglodefiler.  I start off each day with a cuppa, adore making a garden and enjoy shwitty word play.

Some people may be considered "corrupt", but to just be okay with raping women and smashing children if their people don't change their ways is far from love. That's not a good punishment for displeasing anyone.

Please define love in your own words.

No, my God would warn Humanity of what is to come so to give them a second chance at life using prophets. He didn't personally do those actions he just dropped his favor from them and allowed the enemies of babylon to do what they will.

Love is God and God is Love. Love is not forced.  4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.

"The Lord your God is a jealous God."
"I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster."

Where was God's protection, hope, and perseverance when he gave up on all humanity but one family and flooded the earth?

Love is an emotion, God is supposed to be a being. Do you God your parents? Do you God ice cream? God is depicted as a being with a range of emotions, not just love. He is wrathful, he is forgiving, he is vengeful, he is merciful, he regrets, he frequently seems surprised by what people do despite having been aware they were going to do it since the beginning of time, etc. It's ridiculous to pretend 'God' and 'love' are synonyms.

When I was a believer, it didn't scare me a bit. I believed and most cherry picked notions of jesus said he was ok.

What about Judas? It was gods plan to have himself and his son killed, so then the guy folowed gods plan, got depressed and hung himself.

The whole shtick is made for turning people into sheep... readily usable to the ruling class.

Perhaps it was a bad analogy. How about one about marriage. Would you want an arranged marriage or one created out of love. He does not force us to love him because that wouldn't actually be him loving us now would it.
Right.  I don't love him, and he isn't going to force me to love him, so I'm going to go to the place where he is not.  What's the problem?

It wouldn't be a problem, but of course they can't afford to have it not be a problem. Not useful propaganda if it isn't a problem. So all it is, is a place without God, but it's so awful you'll be extremely sorry you went there, but then it will be too late, bwahaha!

The inability to escape God's presence/wrath/judgment externally and especially internally is part of it's hellish nature.

I say this also out of personal experience.

Your personal experience applies to everyone else why?

Under his own mind and preexisting fears torturing him he did all of that. I hope you don't believe for one second that this guy wasn't already on this path before having his accident.

That's why this whole thread is moot from where I am standing. It deals with the god image from the bible already being established as truth. So, don't serve that, since this is exactly what this school expects from it's student. Confirmation bias.

Rather try and educate lighthouse that things are more complicated than that. That, if you don't believe in god's existence, at least not in the sense it is scripted in the big three, the question if god is love is on the same lines as asking if Wishnu, Zeus or Harry Potter is love. The first and most important question is the existence of this specific divine being. As long as this isn't established everything else is just the usual onedimensional talk over some aspect of an imaginary being.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened."

Those who chase after him are not left empty handed.
People who chase after Allah or Vishnu say the same thing. If you seek an intangible presence hard enough, it's not surprising that you 'find' it. No matter what you think it is.
