Suppose my mate Ton goes to the uni.
And suppose that to complete the uni and get a degree it takes 6 years.
My mate Ton now just started the first years or maybe is doing the second or the third or the fourth or the fifth or sixth year but he has not finish yet.
I am sure that Ton is very eager to finish the sixth year once and for all and during this time Ton feel
a sense of separation between him and the moment that he will be able to reach the goal or the sixth year.
This feeling is better known as a sense of separation.
The more Ton advance toward the goal and the more Ton feel that the goal is real.

Quote:You certainly could not grasp any evidence that a person is spiritually evolved and God is within that person but other people can.
No, they can't. You can claim this but you cannot demonstrate it. Maybe if you were willing to criticize the things you believe in, you'd figure that out.
Quote:The bloke is dead and the consciousness separate from the dead body.
Please look up the definition of "NEAR death experience" and read it until you finally figure out why your statement here is wrong.

So you are admitting that your claims cannot be researched or tested. I know that, it's what I've been pointing out over and over.
Quote:Just answered to this question above.
No, you didn't.
Quote:Don't you realize that by not answering the question you fall more and more into the mental sewer?
As I already stated twice, I answered this question the last time we had this discussion and you ignored the points I made and kept spewing crap. You refuse to accept how far we've come as a species because you insist on finding flaws that would still exist even in a primitive culture and blaming that on technological and scientific advancement. To continue to engage you on the topic would end with the same result-- I make points, you babble incoherently. I'd rather just point and laugh, thanks.
I thought that you give me a brake during these Christmas holidays instead you come down with more garbage and lies.
Now you say that you already gave an explanations but where is this explanation?
I am very very patient Ton but I can't wait for ever.
You keep on argue that we got such a great advancement.
Unfortunately Ton advancement doesn't necessary mean progress.
People can advance forward in a wheel chair but their body is ko.
Progress equal to one step forward but this hasn't happen so far Ton because for every step forward
in the physical-material world we make one step backward so at the end there is no progress.
I challenged you to tell me of one single progress and you fail to do so again and again.
Don't forget that I already knock down the story that we suppose to be more advanced than the stone
and cave people so please don't bring that crap forward again.
Try something better if you can.

No, you didn't. The "negative" you listed would be no different if they had no technology whatsoever. For example:
Quote:People can advance forward in a wheel chair but their body is ko.
Without a wheelchair, this person is still incapable of walking but with a wheelchair, he is able to get around efficiently and quickly. His condition is not the result of technological progress, but his quality of life is improved by it. Go back and look at your other examples and it's the same thing. This argument is even more stupid than the original one about karma! Seems like everyone else is progressing except you, Rik.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

One of your main problem Ton is that you haven't got a clue what progress is all about.
You think that to create more things and technology equal to progress.
These new technologies help us to stay afloat and staying afloat does not equal to progress.
Progress only come when a step forward is not annulled by a step backward and that has never happened in this physical-material world and it never will because it is against nature to grasp peace of mind and happiness from physical-material things.
All it does is a temporary feeling of achievement that last very very short time.
As far as permanent peace of mind nothing.
There are rich people that got every material thing they can dream of but deep within they are very very unhappy.
On the other hand there are poor people that are much better off within.
Get real Ton.
Progress can only be within through peace of mind and a sense of bliss.
All the rest is not progress.
The primitive people did not have what we got today and we do not have what they had so at the end
there is no progress.
These primitive didn't have money to buy things but there was no need to buy anything.
They collect fruit, nuts and grains from the forest for free.
They didn't have electricity but who need electricity.
They wake up as the sun rise and go to sleep when the sun goes down which is much more healthy than
stay awake at night like we do.
They didn't get sick if they go out in all sort of whether because their bodies were strong by eating natural food and do a lot of physical activity.
I could go on and on Ton but what's the point when I talk with a dreamer?

You're an idiot.
Primitive people had shorter lives marked by susceptibility to diseases, starvation, and exposure among other things. Infant mortality was high, many mothers died in childbirth, and many children died before reaching the age of five. Over time, technology has helped ease these problems and in some cases drastically reduce them. The places on Earth where these problems are still significant are those areas that lack those technologies or reject them. That's right, we can see the difference that technology makes by comparing those people who take advantage of it to those who do not. The former live longer, healthier, happier lives. The latter wipe their asses with clumps of grass and wonder why their meals taste like leafy shit.
So yeah, primitive people didn't enjoy what we have today (better health, longer lives, happier lives) and we don't have what they had (a short, shitty, painful existence). You think that's a wash. That's because you're an idiot.

Ah yes! Back in the primal past when the dingos would eat your babies. I guess there was karmic justice back then too.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

One question chimp.
If you knew that that baby in a previous life was a man that rape and kill your teen daughter
wouldn't you be happy to see him die in an horrific way?

Double fool Ton.
As usual you miss to take the whole picture in consideration.
All you do is to see the outside picture which doesn't help much.
Not only that but you also only see the positive in us today and the negative in them (primitive people).
If you only would do the opposite the result would be quite different but that is not even the point.
The point is that progress equal to what you feel inside and what you are able to take with you when you leave the dead body.
This is the real progress.
All the rest is crap because when you depart from your dead body you have no choice but to live every
external thing behind including technologies, rockets, spaceships and the lot.
Most atheists carry with them a big big dogma and that is the idea that with the physical death everything is over so to live longer is something very very important for them.
In reality is most probably the opposite in most cases.
As the body is not the real you also a vehicle that you use to travel is not you.
As far as you think that the body is the real you you also compare a car or a vehicle with the real you.
How foolish Ton.
Wouldn't you be happy to change your old car and get a new one?
With the same logic it would be a lot better to get rid of and old body and get a new one but because most atheists do not use logic then they try to stick with the old one as far as it stand up.
Fool Ton.

I don't care what your mental illnesses are, that is probably the most fucking disgusting thing I've ever heard anyone say. You loathsome piece of shit.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

That is not what I would think.
I rather would be horrified to see a baby die in an horrific way.
Of course you smart a.. didn't get that this was a question for chimp considering that he also is a smart a.. that only judge without put himself in the shoes of the one who may had to suffer in previous lives.
