How?

When you say that yours is faith, but everyone else's is just belief, and you don't really have anything to back it up, it just sounds like an excuse. Whether the words meant something different a long time ago, or not, there's still the problem that you can't prove anything.

I never said that. There are many people that claim an experience that revealed something of God to them. Not saying their claims are correct that God actually revealed itself to them, just that's the actual meaning/usage conveyed in the bible. It is not created by humans. To say "just have faith" is a non sequitur.

What subjective experience can you prove?

Quote:4. All spiritual identities need an accurate perception.

Until you can demonstrate (or at the very least, convincingly argue) that there are such things as 'spiritual identities' in the first place, you can't really claim that they 'need' anything, let alone accurate perception.

'All grimuplicates need raspberry double fudge butter almond walnut ripple ice cream'. What's a grimuplicate, you ask? Don't bother me while I'm pontificating.

MK, I'd like to play, but I just can't.

Still good to have you back.

Then the telephone game wins again. Have fun with meaningless, nonfunctional gibberish.

The way the word is current used/abused and practiced is not functionally different than belief. It's actual function has been lost/obscured to the public mind. If their belief system is based on the bible, it state's quite clearly in several places that faith is a gift of God, from God, and it is not created by man.

And those of us who don't have a belief system based on the bible use what's called a "dictionary", lol.

When the meanings of words change over time, the operative function is lost on the human mind. Dictonaries do not define words, the list current usage.

Dictionaries now list a "definition" for literally that means the exact opposite of literal.

"Value," "inner beauty," "your level in the good and evil scale" are all value judgments.  I believe that value judgments are subjective at their core, although the judgments may be informed by objective facts such as physical appearance or observed behaviours.

Odd.  That's exactly how I feel about your fucking bible..... and all other so-called holy books.  I wouldn't want you to feel "special."
