As I said on a different forum, that's a dangerous road to even start going down unless you have hard evidence to back it up in the first place. I believe we can take this at face value, for now.
I wasn't going down any road, nor was I making an accusation. But political parties have been known to shoot their own dog (metaphorically speaking) and blame it on the opposition. This is commonly referred to as a 'false flag'.
