I think any normal person can tell those are just northern lights. The most convincing apparition to me is the miracle of the sun in Fatima.

The operative word being "normal" here. But there is one guy who actually meant to see Jesus in birdshit on his windscreen. Others believe him to make an apparition on toast. All well documented. On a not so serious line there's even a Jesus on dog's ass circulatin the web. Guy who took the picture wasn't serious about it. How many accounts were there? Out of thousands of witnesses, there would have been a few.

Also, two things on that. It happened in 1917 and all the pictures we have don't show anything extraordinary. Grainy stuff that could be anything and nothing. Reporters go for a good story to sell papers. Secondly, the date was 1917. Don't you think there was some little business going on just a few hundred miles to the Northeast that would have been more deserving of divine attention or intervention than a one horse town in Portugal?
