WHAT DO WE DO

I doubt anyone's gonna move out, as they claim.
Did you read the bit where if he lose his health insurance uncer ACA, he might DIE???

It's fucking serious.  But hey, Make America Great again, in the good old days, where we just let them die and decrease the surplus population.  Party of pro life, go!

Clinton wins Nevada. So that should be 244-215 Trump.

I'm told he just won Ohio.

I think you're right. Looks like it's turning on trump winning.

Let's face it: our world is rapidly becoming an episode of Black Mirror. Honestly, between the PM having a sex scandal with a pig, advertising reaching the point of 15 million merits, China developing a system of social credit similar to Nosedive, and a nihilistic cartoon character becoming the most powerful man on the planet, it wouldn't surprise me if everything that happens in the series comes to pass in reality sometime soon.

I wonder how long before Trump requests special emergency powers from the congress?

I just now got in front of a computer but have been listening to this ongoing fiasco on NPR while driving. I just don't know what to say. There will be a sea of ink spilled as everyone comes to terms with what appears to be a likely Trump presidency, and I will try to think hard about what it all means in the grand arc of this country's history and politics. But not tonight. I'm shocked and numb and just trying to process this for now: President Trump, Republican control of the House and Senate, and at least one SC pick of their choosing. This is going to be a seismic clusterfuck.

Jesus H. Christ. I really did give people more credit than this, never suspecting what an optimistic Pollyanna I apparently really am. I'm honestly ashamed of my fellow citizens in a way I've never felt before. We've done some really stupid and immoral shit as a nation before, but often those things could be pinned on the leadership in the country. This is one that we, as a people, have to own whether we individually voted for the man or not.

If only Mencken were alive to see this day. Perhaps he could eloquently heap the appropriate scorn on us that we fucking deserve.

Personally I am not partying at all as i did not vote for trump, nor do I consider this a victory for the pro life cause. Who might die? Egg?? I must have missed something, h/o.

This election is important, but its not an end all. greed, hatred, and fear are personal choices. everyone is not subjected to acting out of hate just because the president or even the entire government is identified with these characteristics. It was up to all of us to vote for a person to be the face of our nation, but thats not the end of our civic duty. Now, our duty continues as we choose to love each other, support each other, and make society as great as we can. Because society is the people, and we as the people can do big things. We are free moral agents. We are free to be kind, generous, and supportive. Lets not let this election define us as American citizens. Lets define America by who we are.

I know things are going to be really hard for some people under this presidency. There are a lot of implications that come with the influence of the government. I know that some people will definitely feel hatred and fear. People will be hurt. Be there for those people. No matter which way this election went, there would be greed, hatred, and fear. I think we are shaped by our experiences, and pain makes us stronger. Lets use these next four years as a chance to grow, and overcome the challenges thrown at us.
