given that the outbreak started in the town of Old Lyme (hence the name), which is 10 miles off the coast of plum island. home to the flea and tick disease research center (soon moving to kansas if it hasnt already). id say its pretty safe to assume that it came from there.

not to mention all the other f'd up things that washed ashore nearby.

...It has been for the last decade and a half.  Thimerosal was only ever present in trace amounts in the past anyway, and most childhood vaccines didn't use it to begin with, but 2001 was the last time any childhood vaccine had any thimerosal at all.

And you seem to be missing most of what I typed. Thimerosal was never a large ingredient in vaccines and most never had any thimerosal to begin with. 2001 was just the last time any childhood vaccine had any at all.
