Disliking a candidate a lot is never an excuse to give the other one a pass on calls for blatantly unconstitutional and bigoted measures.

You don't like Hillary?  Don't vote for Hillary.  And definitely don't use it as excuse to give a bigot a pass.

Voting third party in a POTUS race is the same as voting for the person you like the least. 

When I got my ballot this time around, you know how many third party candidates there were other than Johnson and Stein for President? 

None. Not a single one in a state or local race. And now the third parties are going to take their three year vacation from the face of the earth until they self-righteously return to siphon off votes from whomever it is that's running against Herr Drumpf. 

A vote for President is also a vote for the makeup of the Supreme Court, which can mean a vote that lasts for decades. So it doesn't matter if you don't like the candidate, you can look at their basic ideals and see how law of the land lawmaking is going to go because of their time in office. Now Trump is going to pick at least one, and maybe as many as three SCOTUS justices. And look who he's surrounded himself with.

That's what third party voting helped accomplish this election.

You clearly don't want their votes, so why should they vote for your candidate? Politics is personal. There are some people who aren't going to eat your shit and then pull the lever for your candidate. If you want their votes, go after them. If you don't want their votes, ignore them. If you want more people to vote 3rd Party, shit on them.

The people that cost Clinton this election are her campaign and all the Democrats that stayed home. Whining about the few percent that voted 3rd party vs. the 40-something percent that couldn't be bothered to show up shows an astonishing lack of comprehension of the real reasons Clinton lost...something to do with millions of people who voted for Obama and didn't vote for her.

Oh, yeah, it's totally the fault of the people that didn't like either candidate.  These people and their thinking that they shouldn't be forced election after election to choose between a douche and a turd sandwich.  They should just shut up and pick an asshole.  It's the American way, after all.

It had nothing to do with Hillary being a lying corporate shill.  It had nothing to do with her being an establishment politician in the pocket of Wall St.  It had nothing to do with her inability to connect to rural voters.  It had nothing to do with Hillary giving Wasserman-Schulz a job after she got caught trying to rig the primary.  It had nothing to do with her poor handling of classified information.

You can go ahead and keep blaming third party voters.  But you may as well just extend Trump's lease on the White House for four more years.

I don't blame you completely, just in part. And you can deny it all you want, just like Nader supporters still live in denial over aiding George W. Bush in getting elected in 2000. But it's okay, there are hundreds of thousands of dead people to remind them. 

There was an obvious choice to be made here and you helped Trump get elected. Suck it up and accept that you threw your vote away on someone who had absolutely zero chance to win jackshit. Hell, jackshit is infinitely more than any Johnson or Stein won, or had a chance to win. 

Most people don't always like either candidate, but they understand that often there is a lesser of two evils, and so they vote for the lesser and hope for the best. Neither Stein, nor Johnson ever stood a chance of appointing a SCOTUS justice, but Hillary did. Talk all your "corporate shill" bullshit until the cows come home, but now Trump is putting at least one, probably two, maybe even three justices on the Supreme Court. 

But hey, at least you voted your conscience.

What did blaming Naderites accomplish? Half the Dems stayed home and 13% voted for Bush...every single 3rd party candidate got more votes than Nader lost by. The man couldn't carry his own home state.

I get that blaming 3rd party candidates is easy...it's also really lazy.
