I first heard it in skyrim. So that was a nice experience to then find out it was a meme. I had memories associated with it. Snowing, this guard randomly saying the phrase to you...

I don't mind it. Video games are an art form and as far as I'm concerned this is as valid a cultural reference as any.

As long as I don't miss the forest for the knees, I'm well happy.
