So far I haven't publicly displayed my atheism in school, and there are some colleagues who I know are active in church, but I had elaborate discussions on Death Metal with fellow maths teachers, and I strongly suspect they are not terribly religious

I didn't either at my last job, although I told people when they asked.

I remember this one time I had said I'd been raised Catholic, and this woman (some kind of Protestant) got offended with me because "Catholics aren't Christians" according to her.

Not sure what else she'd call people who worship Jesus Christ but ok.

It's well known that some Protestants and Catholics don't like each other.

I thought you would have known this considering the history and all.

Freelance computer support which includes elimination of hardware problems as well as installing an OS and additional software for clients who can't do that themselves.
Yes, I do. That's the reason I started doing it in the first place. I could spend hours or even days in solving a problem and the only reason for spending that long is because I LOVE my job. There's nothing else in the world that brings me the same pleasure as "poking" (as my mother calls it) a computer.

I just think it's silly denying the "Christianity" of other Christians, when the name of the central prophet is clearly in the name of the religion.
