That...doesn't make any sense. "Everything I feel in myself" is not a helpful definition.
Are you trying to say that your soul is your consciousness? Because that raises the question about plants having souls. Do rocks have souls?

Especially if you're in prison and your cellmate just remarked on how pretty your lips are.

This is a problem we run into with terms like "spirituality." It's a term that is defined ambiguously even in dictionaries. Some definitions link it to religion and religious belief, but there are many people who define it in the complete absence of gods or religions. Words like "soul" are similarly tricky to nail down if you compare the religious use of the term to the colloquial use. We're as likely to use the word to mean "person" as we are to mean "essence" or "ghost" or something along those lines.
For me, spiritualism deals with ghosts and the belief that the human mind uses a physical body as a temporary vessel but is able to survive beyond it. Spirituality is linked to our emotions and our emotional experience of the world. The latter does not require a belief in the supernatural or in other planes of existence.

to me..when i die..it's over..whether my soul goes to heaven or anywhere else..I would not have a clue
for me spirituality means discovering human values..like positivity..trying to eliminate negativity in myself, others, the whole world..
I believe conversation, communication is important in life..either on a forum..but even more face to face
spirituality is just such a vast subject that in a lot of your answers..i neither see what you all mean about being spiritual..
i was going to put links..but since i am a newbie it's into the 30/30 rule violation..sorry i did not notice that in one of my postings...
Right, well by the sounds of it I would agree with your goals. I just don't understand why it needs a special name that implies something mystical.

our soul is who we are as personality...but when we die the soul turns into a spiritual body..or does it not?
@ Tonus.great reply..you hit the nail as it should be said..as a matter of fact...

I don't care what some random Christian (or some random anyone else, for that matter) says about the soul, since you're the one using the term. I want to know how you define it.

Is that a question? Don't ask me - again it's you that's using this term in the first place, you should be able to define it if you're going to use it.
