This is the first time a famous person's death has genuinely saddened me. :/
Same here. Star Wars was the center of my childhood. The first movie I remember seeing in my life was a VHS copy of A New Hope. I loved Fisher for her contribution to it, but I respected her as a person as well. Her honestly in regards to her drug use and how she was able to overcome it continues to inspire me to better myself. I just loved the way she carried herself and the way she spoke; she was "Hollywood royalty" but didn't act anything like it.
I'll genuinely, sincerely miss her. That's more than I can say for a lot of celebrities.
...i honestly believed that she was clean in the latter portion of her life. But I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise. But it makes her death even more upsetting to me for sure.
