Well the MCU is doing way too good to need any reboots in the foreseeable future (although I wouldn't doubt some kind of soft reboot after Infinity War is over so they can justify recasting most of the roles of people whose contracts have expired) but yeah, I feel that way about other things like Spider-Man, and especially the Fantastic Four.

I think most of the origin stories in the MCU have been done very well, and even the reintroduction of Spider-Man didn't involve rehashing his origin, which is probably the best move they could have made to avoid having every viewer roll their eyes.

I like the X men series a hell of a lot. 

The rest of the films are sometimes watchable.  

The problem with the avengers is they all have similar powers and are basically over powered and unstoppable.

The hulk, thor, Iron man and captain america and whoever else is in that team are basically all strong and fast.  They dress it up with different story lines, slightly different degrees of power and different reasons behind their powers but they're basically all just strong and fast.  

X men is much better because the powers are more imaginative, like telepathy, metal manipulation, speed, fire manipulation and so on.

In the comic, Cap was as strong and fast as a human can be without being superhuman.  Actually ditto for everything else. His thing was supposed to be that he's more skilled a fighter than almost anyone else. Really he should have busted his hand up every time he hit Iron Man in Civil War.

I could go on and on about all of the things I dislike about the MCU, like how we're being smothered by comic book movies every year, but my biggest pet peeve about them is how overrated they are. People loved Civil War, which basically whiped its ass with the source material, but it's plot was so bad, like criminally bad. Winter Soldier was supposed to be great, but it felt like watching a film that my high school teacher was forcing the class to watch.

And all the Marvel fanboys will shit on the DCEU when Marvel only has a handful of movies that are better than the ones DC puts out.

I'm just waiting for the comic book movie to go the way of the western.

I'm not sure how to add to the conversation, but I like just about everything Marvel right now. The only parts I dislike are being pushed by other companies (like Fox and their X-Men movies). I'd prefer it if Disney just ran all of it.

I don't think you'll like it once Disney really gets rolling in the Marvel Universe. They're still working on stuff that was started before the merger. Once they've got complete creative control, it'll be "throw crap at the wall 'til something sticks then make sequels of that until people are ready to puke." Kinda like they've done with "Pirates of the Caribbean." Hell, they're already planning a Han Solo origin story to begin the end of the "Star Wars" universe.

To be fair, and yes, I don't like Disney owning Star Wars, their first standalone movie - Rogue One - was one of the best Star Wars movies to date.

The way of the Western? Didn't they just make a Magnificent Seven movie?

And I'm amazed you didn't mention Iron Man 3 or Age of Ultron if we're talking about wiping asses on source material. Compared to those, I'd say Civil War was about the best thing we could have hoped for.

I never had the opportunity as a youngster to get into the comics, watched the cartoons though. I'm not to big into the marvel movies ( some DC stuff I've liked), but I absolutely loved Guardians Of The Galaxy and I went into that movie never even hearing about the comic till the movie came out.

I don't mind us getting off the MCU as long as it's about comic book movies or their associated TV programs.

Wonder Woman might flop too...Justice League might really be the last entry in the DCEU if that's the case, unless it makes Star Wars money (not bloody likely). They should have cut their losses with BvS, but they were already too far into production with the other stuff...talk about betting on the wrong horse. "It's the STORY, stupid!" So sad. They really deserve to be done justice, pun intended.

Dredd is a British comic character so, is a comic movie.

I've enjoyed most of the Marvel movies, though I found Age of Ultron to be the weakest, story-wise, so far (followed closely by Ironman 2).   My favourites have to be Guardians of the Galaxy and DeadPool.
